Style at the Oscars

The 90th Academy Awards was held on Sunday [March 4th] and we love to see what the stars are wearing at this event. I only saw a few beautiful dresses that night and why not highlight a few of the winners and losers of the red carpet right here and now.

You may be able to duplicate the looks yourself for your special formal occasions or for those dreamy date nights in exotic locales that we all wish for and they do come true for some of us. As the celebrities say on the red carpet interviews, never give up on your dreams and you could find yourself at the Oscars one fateful night in your future.

Sparking and retro, this "Gal" can pull it off and looked fabulous.

A bit too much of Xena Warrior Princess. It would have looked
better with a slim clingy bottom half without the girdle look.

I like the cut of this dress but Margot needed to
ditch the tinsel around the front.

If you've got the figure for this dress like Mary does,
then go for it. I liked the sparkle and drape of the dress
highlighting her curves.

Greta needs to reinvent this dress like she did with her career.
It's a bit frumpy looking and emphasizes the large lower body.

The dress looks backwards and that slit in front is way too high.
Skip this fashion disaster.

Jane's got a great figure but I am not a fan of the
white-out blizzard look for older ladies. A softer neutral
or darker color would have made her skin tone and face
stand out and not look dried out.

I hope you enjoyed the Oscars this year as we love to watch the ladies of the red carpet and those who bring home the golden statuette. So, when can we get a new gender neutral Oscar statuette? Or have a competition to redesign that statue for the coming seasons of change?
