Tricks and Treats

October is the month of Halloween and not much else, really. It's great to leave the summer heat behind and move onto cooler weather, awesome decorations, and delicious treats.

We can get some style inspiration from photos across the Internet that will resonate with us and we can build on that style and adapt it to ourselves. Some people celebrate Halloween year-round but that's not really what I'm into. I mean, you can, but it should be more neutral designs I think.

Interesting that Lydia Hearst keeps her home very spooky all the time but I think it's much too intense of a place to live in full-time, but maybe it's just her Halloween home.

Designer Stacey Bendet is always ready for Halloween and back in 2018, purchased two apartments that were once owned by Judy Garland and Roberta Flack in the famous NYC Dakota apartments and had plans to adjoin them into one huge apartment or maybe sequester her husband and kids as one wonders if they will be adjoining her because little kids might get gobbled up by the witches.

Here's a photo of Judy Garland's living room at the Dakota. It looks like she has
the fireplace plastered and finished so Santa can't come down the chimney
(or any ghosts or witches).

My favorite for Halloween? Going as Elizabeth Taylor.

Time for delicious treats which is probably the best part of any holiday celebration. Use your imagination to create some fun designs for your holiday table too.
