Working At Home

Do you work from home? Work at home? Well, most everyone does nowadays, and whether you do or not, everyone needs a work space, what with handling those pesky items, like paying the bills on your awesome rental in the woods or keeping track of all the bargains around town in those little shops you love visiting before taking a much needed afternoon coffee or tea break while thinking about your plans for the evening. Whether you have tons of space [who needs it? You just have to pay the maid more money to clean it], or a small space, everyone needs a spot to organize their lives and keep track of those special projects or planning your next move up the career ladder.

Do you have a nice view? How about setting up a small desk with your computer? What better way to spend some alone time organizing your projects for the week while gazing out that window at that awesome view.

Pick a corner and set up your home office. Don't worry about not having that bookcase purchased yet, just stack the books partially under the table and they will not block traffic. Lots of color will spark your imagination and keep those ideas flowing as you work throughout the day.

If you've got the space, time, and money, I highly suggest adding the billionaire designer or the gorgeous model to your home office. You won't regret it.

Style has no limits. Working at home doesn't mean you need to have anything stale or standard. Think about the function of the work area and then work on your style.

Small Touches in a Home

Small things in your home can go a long way on style and taking care of any space you might have that needs filling. No need to spend tons of dough, save that for your days and nights on a special getaway, when you need a break from the daily grind of shopping, lunching and nights at the movies.

Here are a few simple ideas to spark your own imagination and style:

Horses and flowers on a mantel can fit in with any decor.

Not sure where to hang pictures? Put them on a small side table and accent it with a decorative stool.

Love these small chairs along with the decorative tray and a small painting that you just can't find a spot for.

Don't forget a spot for the pet. They can fit in with any decor and are welcome in the bedroom with a nice pet friendly bedspread and pillow covers that can be thrown into the wash at any time. Use a lint roller to pick up any hair before washing.

Cats love a simple chair on a balcony or apartment patio, whether your space is small or large. Above the ground patios can be filled with pillows with washable covers and lush green plants to create a comfortable atmosphere.

Now go out and have a fun week with your special buddy
as you live your life with style.
