If you love makeup and need some tips and instructional videos, my go-to site is on You Tube, the channel by model, makeup artist and all around beauty, Maya Mia. I like her videos because she tells you the products she is using and doesn't just plug her own products. You can use what you have from your favorite brands. You can easily see the color scheme she uses and she shows you how to apply the color and contour, if you wish to go that route, since contouring might be a bit too dramatic for your everyday look.

Don't be put off by her near perfect features, she provides a wide range of looks, tips, and general all around help for every woman, and you can easily adapt many of her techniques to your own personal style. You will find her videos addicting, they are well done, she has a calm and relaxing presentation, and has an endless supply of knowledge. I know you will find something on her channel that you will begin to use and adapt to yourself, immediately. Especially for those people who really don't want to subject themselves to a beauty salon and be at the mercy of whoever is there. If you eventually wander into a salon for pro help, Maya's videos will provide you with the knowledge you need to communicate what you want, what your issues are, and get the assistance you need from that local salon.

If you go as far as the cosmetic surgeon [make sure for anything beyond a facial, you go to a medical doctor, i.e., a dermatologist or plastic surgeon, this is your face we're talking about, don't go cheap] Maya's face would be difficult to duplicate, but you can see her clear skin, plumped lips and the arch in the brow for those ladies or gents that want a more permanent fix for their features. I am never against any type of plastic surgery, just be conservative about it and careful because many procedures cannot be reversed if the scalpel slips or you end up with burns and blisters on your face from a person without a medical license. Side with caution and get to practicing with those makeup brushes and add some color to your face; it will brighten your mood and your outlook.

Basic foundation or tinted sunscreen. You can stop here if you just need some foundation and lipstick for your day look. Maybe a bit of mascara but no eyeliner.

Maya shows you how to apply that eyeliner and layer on your eye shadows.

Great instruction on doing your brows, but remember the liner and color can slip during the daytime, so be careful if you are doing anything but your normal day of shopping or bossing around your staff [I mean, providing leadership]. Those things around her eyes prevent the makeup from falling on her face as she does her eyes and brows and are optional. You can dust powder around the eye area and then just clean everything off when you are done and continue with the rest of your face makeup.

I always do my eyes first then continue with the rest of my face since eye makeup is messy when applying it. Maya shows you how to apply a light contour around the eye area to brighten the face and always blend well after applying the color.

Yes, your inner beauty is important, but you need to present a confident and pleasant first impression to your public, not fake and phony, but effortlessly attractive and when those positive opportunities in life pop up unexpectedly, you want to be ready from head to toe. Have fun and experiment and remember to develop your own style.
